FCA

Firm Checker

The FCA says it tries to keep its Firm Checker up to date but cannot guarantee accuracy, and that updates can take about a day.

Warning lists change over time, and a date on a page does not always show the latest change. This page explains how three regulators describe the currency of their tools and lists, as read in October 2026. It does not report new entries, name any firm or predict future updates.

The FCA Firm Checker

The FCA states: "We try to make sure that this tool is always up to date." It adds: "But it may, on average, take 24 hours to update information." It also sets a limit on reliance: "This means we can't guarantee its accuracy and don't accept liability for errors or missing information." The page was published on 4 March 2024 and last modified on 1 April 2026.

Dates on a Warning List Page

The FCA Warning List page shows a first publication date of 2 April 2016 and a header update of 30 June 2026. When it was read for this page, some entries on the list carried later dates than the header, so the header date alone may not show the latest change. Read the date on the entry you are checking rather than relying on the page date. See broker blacklist myths and the FCA list.

Australia and Singapore

ASIC explains why entries need care: "The name or contact details may have changed since an entry was added." A related ASIC media release about its alert list is numbered 23-296MR and dated November 2023. The MAS Investor Alert List page was last updated on 17 September 2026, and MAS states: "This list is not exhaustive and is based on what was known to MAS at the time of publication."

A Short Routine

Note the date on the page and the date on the entry, search by name and by website address, and then check the register of authorised firms. If anything looks wrong, stop and read how to check whether a broker is regulated. For a map of lists see warning lists by regulator, and for reporting see how to report a binary options scam.
